ABOUT THE AUTHOR:

Dr. Thomas Wallenmaier received his Ph.D. in philosophy from Michigan State University in 1973. He has been teaching philosophy, with some interruptions, ever since. He has taught logic courses at all levels. He currently is on the faculty at Henry Ford Community College in Dearborn, Michigan.

Dr. Wallenmaier has been on a crusade to make the principles of logic and their application as clear as possible to students. Over the years he has developed approaches and materials for the teaching of logic that work very well in the classroom. This textbook is the culmination of this experience.
